Mr. Dinh Q. Lê, a Vietnamese artist participating in the exhibition “ICHIAHRA x ART x CONNECTIONS― Crossing of Worlds and Me,” passed away on April 6.
He had just returned to Vietnam from a one-week stay in Ichihara from March 17 for this exhibition.
On the completion of the work "The Bond that Ties," he spoke with heartfelt joy: I came up with the idea, but I did not move my hands at all. It was really a collaborative work created by the Vietnamese and Ichihara communities. It is a completely new challenge for me."
The sudden loss of a great artist representing Vietnam and Asia has sent shockwaves beyond the borders, and many people are mourning his passing.
